Before: a memo with a <details> section rendered its footnotes, quotes and code wrongly, GitHub alerts such as > [!WARNING] showed as plain quotes starting with [!WARNING], and there was no emoji autocomplete in the composer.

After: <details> sections render as collapsible sections with their Markdown inside, GitHub alerts render as callouts in both the composer and the memo view, and typing : plus two letters in the composer opens an emoji picker. The composer also gets heading 4, a link card, and new slash menu items.

How: bumps @usememos/editor from 26.10.12 to 26.10.14 and adapts memos to it.

  • Translates the editor's new labels in all 46 locales, and reuses common.title, common.expand and common.collapse where they fit.
  • Adds emoji() from @usememos/editor/emoji to the composer's extensions. Its emoji list loads the first time the popup opens.
  • Removes the slash hint label: the editor shows the hint only when slashHint is set, and memos leaves it off.
  • Leaves the alert marker line out of memo snippets (markdown.GenerateSnippet) and calendar excerpts. Snippets also keep the space between a quote or list and the block before it, which used to run together.
  • Fixes the ar, fa and mr "Heading 3" strings, which held a run of other translations, and the fa "Link" string, which said "attachment".

Closes #6477
Closes #6218
Closes #6282: the :name emoji picker the issue asks for as an alternative. Typed emoticons such as :-) are not converted.

Checks: pnpm lint, pnpm test, pnpm build, and go test for markdown, core and server/api/test.

- Translate the editor's new labels (heading 4, callouts, collapsible
sections, link card buttons) in every locale; reuse common.title,
common.expand and common.collapse for section titles and toggles.
- Add :emoji autocomplete to the composer from @usememos/editor/emoji.
- Drop the slash hint label: the editor now shows the hint only with
slashHint, and memos keeps it off.
- Leave GitHub alert markers ("> [!NOTE]") out of memo snippets and
calendar excerpts, since they now render as callout titles. Snippets
also keep the space between a quote or list and the block before it.
- Fix the ar, fa and mr "Heading 3" strings, which held a run of other
translations, and the fa "Link" string, which said "attachment".

Walkthrough

The editor dependency is upgraded, and editor configuration adds emoji autocomplete. Editor labels, translations, and documentation are updated for callouts, collapsible sections, link actions, and emoji. Markdown snippet generation and calendar text extraction now omit recognized GitHub alert markers. Added tests cover alert rendering, collapsible sections, snippet spacing, and calendar excerpts.

There still seem to be some rendering issues compared to before the editor swap:

A quote with a list in it, such as a callout with bullet points, was
kept as one raw Markdown block and shown as source, `>` marks
included. memos renders memos with the editor in read-only mode, so
such memos showed as plain text (usememos/memos#6479). Enter in a quote
only added quote paragraphs, so the list could not be typed either.

- A list item can now be in a quote or callout (`quote` and `callout`
on the item). Loading, saving, the source-preserving save (task
ticks included), copy and paste, rendering and the block commands
treat adjacent quote blocks and quoted items as one blockquote.
- In a quote, `- `, `1. ` and `[ ] ` start a list in the quote. Enter
on an empty item gives a quote paragraph, and Enter again leaves the
quote. Toggling a list off keeps the text in the quote; toggling a
quote on list items keeps them list items.
- Raw Markdown blocks (structure the model still cannot hold, such as
a code block in a list item) render with the editor's own blocks
when the caret is not in them, and always when read-only, as HTML
sections do. A click or the caret shows the source.

Thanks for the report! The new editor showed a quote with a list in it as raw Markdown. @usememos/editor 26.10.15 fixes this: quotes can hold lists again, and in a quote you can type - to start one.

Can confirm this is fixed, went back as I am still having a lot of issues with the new editor (I also like to write markdown by hand so it's not really a pleasant change). I will create an issue with some screenshots.
