Distro interpreters such as Fedora's python3.15 ship without headers unless the -devel package is installed, so meson could not find the Python dependency and the 3.15, docs, pkg_meta and warnings envs failed to build the C extension locally. CI already pins UV_PYTHON_PREFERENCE=only-managed; tox now asks tox-uv for the same.

Contributors on distributions whose default Python ships without development headers could not build the C extension through tox: on Fedora,
/usr/bin/python3.15has noPython.hunlesspython3-develis installed, so meson reportedPython dependency not foundand the3.15,docs,pkg_metaandwarningsenvironments stopped before running anything. 🛠️CI never saw this because every job already sets
UV_PYTHON_PREFERENCE: only-managed. tox now asks tox-uv for the same through itsuv_python_preferencesetting, so local environments use uv's standalone CPython builds, which bundle their headers, and match the interpreters CI builds against.
