Open GitHub items on GitHub or in a new channel from the Issues and PRs lists #107
The Issues and PRs pages open each item in an inline detail pane inside Ace, and GitHub links elsewhere in the app are captured into that pane. The request is to work from these lists instead of reading items in Ace.
Expected
Clicking an item's title in the Issues or PRs list opens it on GitHub.
Each row reveals two controls on the right: Open in a channel and Open on GitHub. They appear on hover and keyboard focus, and stay visible on devices without hover.
Open in a channel creates a channel in the selected project, navigates to it, and invokes its agent through the normal first-message flow with the item's title and canonical GitHub URL. For a PR, the message tells the agent to continue the existing PR instead of opening a new one.
The inline issue/PR detail pane, its saved selection, and the in-app capture of GitHub links are removed; GitHub links open externally again. Previously saved detail state is discarded.
Search, state filters, refresh, Load more, and project selection keep working. Shared GitHub host infrastructure and channel diffs are unchanged.
In progress in #109. Native validation found that target=_blank links opened nothing in the desktop app, because Electrobun's new-window-open had no handler. The PR adds a handler that opens http(s) links in the default browser, plus a Tab stop for "Open on GitHub". Final native validation of dde96ad is pending.
Done in #109, merged as c30845d. Validated in an isolated source-built Ace-dev at dde96ad against the iamnbutler/tasks-fixture project. Title links, "Open on GitHub", Cmd+Enter and transcript links each opened the default browser while Ace stayed on its page. "Open in a channel" created one channel in the selected project, posted the prompt, and started a real agent run, which I stopped after the first reply. Keyboard focus revealed the row actions. Hover, touch visibility, the PR prompt wording, remote projects, Load more and the upgrade cleanup were checked by static review only; details are in #109.
Cleanup is complete. dev-ui-validation removed the disposable app, host, data and keychain item. Nate closed the four fixture browser tabs with Codex computer use after Ace's desktop_inspect refused the Chrome window (recorded on githubnext/desktop-tools#1); this is disclosed in #109.
Shipped in Ace canary 0.0.12 (release PR #110, source c0e206c, signed release run 37340492456). It includes #109 and its native change to open new-window links in the default browser. The public feed now serves 0.0.12.
