Using HolidayOps
For people who want answers about working days without writing code. The site also has a
step-by-step guide at /guide/ in English, Urdu and Arabic.
Open the playground, choose a country (type to search the list) and click a day. It tells you whether the day is a working day and why: a weekend, a public holiday, or a weekend day the country moved to a working day. No account needed.
Enter your name, email and a password of 10 or more characters, then type the 6-digit code we email you. You can also continue with Google or Microsoft. Turn on two-factor sign-in in account settings.
An organization is your company's shared space. Invite colleagues by email with one of four roles:
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | everything an admin can, plus API keys, granting the owner role and deleting the organization |
| Admin | manage members, webhooks and calendars, read the audit log |
| Member | create and edit calendars and their days, create iCal feeds |
| Viewer | read only |
Pick one or more countries and regions. A calendar can merge several, for example Pakistan and Saudi Arabia for a team in both: the holidays of every source count. The weekend follows the first country's own rules (Friday and Saturday in Saudi Arabia, Saturday and Sunday in Pakistan) unless you set a company weekend.
Click a day to add a company closure, a half day, or an extra working day. Every answer from the app, the feeds, the digest and the API respects them.
- iCal feed: copy the private link into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Revoke or rotate it at any time.
- Monthly digest: an email with the next 30 days, in the reader's language.
- Webhooks: see Webhooks.
An owner creates an API key in the organization's settings (shown once; copy it then). Then follow the API Quick Reference.
Account settings let you download all your data, see every signed-in device and sign any of them out, or delete your account.
