Summary

Implements the dedicated Issues page proposed in FeatureWishlist.md.

Features Included

  1. Summary Metrics Cards:

    • Displays Open Issues count, Closed Issues count, Repositories affected, and Issue Authors count.
  2. Search & Filters:

    • Real-time search by issue title, number (#123), author, assignee, or label name.
    • Filter dropdowns for Organization (multi-org) and Repository.
    • State filter tabs (Open, Closed, All).
  3. Grouping & Display Options:

    • Toggle grouping options: Flat List, By Repository, and By Author.
    • Issue cards display issue state, title with direct GitHub links, repo tags, label pills, creation date, author avatar, assignee avatar, and comment counters.
  4. Pagination & UX:

    • Paginated list (20 items per page) with page navigation controls.
    • Wrapped in <RequireAnalysis> to integrate seamlessly with the existing analysis state flow.
  5. Tests & Build:

    • Added unit test suite src/pages/IssuesPage.test.jsx (all 7/7 test suites passing).
    • Production build verified cleanly (npm run build).

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added an Issues page with search and filters for issue status, organization, and repository.
    • Browse issues grouped by repository or author, or as paginated results. View labels, assignees, authors, creation dates, and comment counts.
    • See counts for open and closed issues, repositories, and creators, alongside loading and empty states.

- Create src/pages/IssuesPage.jsx for browsing open issues across repositories and teams
- Add support for repository filtering, organization filtering, state tabs (open/closed/all), and real-time search
- Implement flexible grouping options (Flat list, By Repository, By Author) with pagination
- Display issue cards with labels, authors, assignees, comment counts, and direct GitHub links
- Add src/pages/IssuesPage.test.jsx unit test suite
- Register /issues route in App.jsx and add Issues link to Navbar.jsx

Walkthrough

The application adds an Issues Explorer route and navigation link. The page aggregates non-pull-request issues from repository data and supports filtering, searching, grouping, and pagination. It displays issue details and summary counts.

Changes

Issues Explorer

Layer / File(s) Summary
Issue aggregation and result processing
src/pages/IssuesPage.jsx
The page excludes pull requests, derives organization and repository filters, and searches issues by title, number, author, assignee, and label. It supports state filtering, grouping, and pagination.
Explorer display and tests
src/pages/IssuesPage.jsx, src/pages/IssuesPage.test.jsx
The page displays loading and unavailable-data states, summary metrics, filter controls, grouped or paginated issue results, and issue details. Tests check issue rendering, pull-request exclusion, and state filtering.
Route and navigation
src/App.jsx, src/components/Navbar.jsx
The application adds /issues behind RequireAnalysis and adds an Issues navigation link.

Priority: Low

Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~20 minutes

Change: Feature

Suggested labels: Typescript Lang

Merge Risk: Moderate · previous review 37ff0

Opening the Issues page when no issues load, or when every fetch fails, can trigger repeated GitHub requests. Add a one-time attempt guard and an explicit retry before merging.

Security architecture risk: Moderate · up to 37ff0

The page preserves the existing analysis guard and GitHub access scope. However, failed audits can automatically restart without a retry limit, repeatedly using the current GitHub credentials and disrupting shared audit availability. No authentication bypass or credential disclosure was established.

Retained concerns

  • Medium · reliability · inferred: The new automatic audit caller has no terminal failure state. When all repository requests fail, the producer publishes an empty map and clears its loading flag, immediately satisfying the caller's initiation predicate again. Persistent network, credential, or rate-limit failures can therefore sustain repeated GitHub requests under the current credentials and repeatedly occupy shared governance-loading state. This weakens failure containment compared with the previous explicit audit action.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The identified retry exposure is bounded to a browser session with an existing analysis and its selected repositories. Requests use that session's optional PAT; repeated failures can affect its GitHub request budget and other consumers of shared audit state. No server-side privilege expansion or independently attackable tenant scope was established.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — The supported failure path is navigation to /issues with empty issue state, followed by failure of every selected repository request, empty-map publication, and automatic re-entry. An external attacker's ability to cause those failures was not established, so this is a failure-containment concern rather than a verified remote denial-of-service exploit.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Issue data comes from canonical api.github.com repository endpoints. Titles and logins are rendered as React text, and issue links include noopener noreferrer. Returned link and avatar URLs are passed directly to browser destinations without local validation; attacker control over those API-generated URL fields was not demonstrated.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The existing audit publishes into unversioned shared state without cancellation or a model-generation check. Model replacement clears issue state but does not cancel an older audit. This ownership weakness predates the PR; the inspected evidence does not establish a new identity boundary crossing.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Represent audit completion and failure independently of data-map emptiness. Bound automatic retries, respect rate-limit recovery timing, and require deliberate recovery after terminal failure so browsing cannot sustain an uncontrolled audit loop.
